Stanford announced yesterday that it will be dropping all tuition costs for students whose parents make less than $100,000 per year and dropping room and board costs for students whose parents make less than $60,000 per year. Confirmed: Blu-ray Wins

It was expected that Blu-ray would win the HD “war.” Shortly after our previous story on the subject, Toshiba announced that they will stop making HD-DVD players. This was only one day after Wal-Mart decided to stop selling HD-DVDs. Now the battle will be between Blu-ray, regular DVD disks, and internet downloading.
