no, i don’t hate america. thanks for asking.

So this evening, I was browsing through the website for the University of Utah’s student paper and I read this utter piece of shit. It’s your standard rant about how because Democrats don’t universally support General Petraeus’s recommendations, they want our troops to die and our country to burn. My rant is after the jump.

Can we please, as a nation, stop this stupid fucking bullshit? Please? Not supporting the war does not mean you support Osama bin Laden! For fuck’s sake, how can you possibly make the comparison between Barack Obama not supporting Bush and a group of fanatics bent on the destruction of the West? In what world does that make any fucking sense whatsoever? I am at a loss to explain this kind of moronic behavior. Normally, when stupid people talk, I can at least understand where they’re coming from. But this sort of thing defies all manner of logic.

For the record, I am not a Democrat. Nor am I a Republican, nor am I a Libertarian as has become trendy on a lot of college campuses. I approach each issue and make up my mind based on facts, logic, and reason. This, of course, is apparently too nuanced for American political discourse, in which Republicans are all fascist, gun-crazed chickenhawks who masturbate to Ann Coulter, while Democrats hate babies, families, the troops, and America. Oh, and anyone not aligned with either camp has no political beliefs worth hearing. News flash, fuckers: the NRA does not support mass murder. The ACLU does not support fundamentalist terrorism. Planned Parenthood does not want to murder babies. The Human Rights Campaign does not want to sodomize children. Democrats and Republicans are all fucking assholes, but they’re two sides of the same coin and the only choice you have is which particular right you want restricted. Oh, and Libertarians are just anarchist punk wannabes, only they have trust funds; stop pretending that you’re so much better than the other two camps. You’re all fucking stupid, and for the record Ron Paul is a prick too.

When are we, as a people, going to move past this utter fucking shit? When are we going to recognize that someone can have a different fucking opinion than we do and that doesn’t necessarily mean they hate everything that is good and moral? When are we going to get over this fucking retarded HURR DEMOCRATS HATE AMURICA versus HURR REPUBLICANS ARE LIKE HITLER ONLY WORSE dichotomy that’s fed by stupid fucking television shows and brainless columnists? When are people going to start thinking for their own fucking selves for a change and start saying something productive instead of spouting whatever it was that your favorite talk radio douchebag told you to say this morning? What the fuck is wrong with you people?

Fuck. I hate everyone. I’m going to bed.

  1. Hahaha. So much for keeping college being politics-free… :) We’ll if it was just for this post, it was worth it.

It seems to me that Tiara Fuller, the author which inspired Nick’s post, needs to switch the channel from Fox News and get a different perspective on what it means to be an American. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but when your opinion is telling me that if I want my fellow American soldiers out of harm’s way that I am acting like the man behind one of the worst mass-murders in American history, you need to get your head out of your ass and maybe take a small trip outside of Utah. Maybe you can try California, Miss Fuller. (Just for the record I am not saying I support either course of action in Iraq.)

  2. Well, I tried to keep it balanced in that I hate everyone, so I figured people of all political stripes could be pissed off at me if they’re easily offended. I’m all about journalistic objectivity, Chris.

  3. congratulations nick being on an equal opportunity offender.

also applaud calling DR RON PAUL AND HIS GOLD STANDARD a prick and simultaneously dissing libertarians (lolbertarians). awesome work but for the future it is the republicans that eat babies and democrats that masturbate to hillary clinton

  4. It’s a grain of pepper in the wind, if you think your sense made any. As a fierce, registered independent, it’s hard enough to try and bring some sanity to the insanes on both sides. Most of what you said are screams against the political hurricane.
The wind has to subside at some point enough where the loudest scream will be heard first. Outlaw sanctimonious ideology, and there’s a shot. Both sides have to be heard, and once you’ve made your point, shut up and listen to the other side. You might learn something, however doubtful. But please SHUT UP for once, and listen…

  5. Really? You don’t hate America?

    Could have fooled me
