Student May Be Expelled for Creating Facebook Group

No FacebookChris Avenir, a freshman student at Ryerson University in Toronto, is up against possible expulsion for creating a Facebook group. The purpose for the group was to create a way for students to help each other on homework assignments and other class work much as they would inside a real classroom in a 20th century study group. The narrow-minded professor dropped the student’s grade from a B to an F (that means Fail for you international fork) and submitted the student to the academic review committee with 146 counts of misconduct–one for creating the group and one for each person who joined the group. The group “Dungeons/Mastering Chemistry Solutions” has since been taken off Facebook. If only he had created the Facebook group anonymously… Thanks Joe.
